Paw Issue
I have a clack lab/collie mix, and he has been licking his paws for some time now. Generally when he licks his paws, there is an awfull odor that develops. I have tried to get my parents to take him to the vet, but so far, no go. If there is anything I can do to make it better, or understand what his problem is, i would be greatful. Thanks for your time.

You can try soaking them in warm water with some baking soda in it. Rinse well with water only. Than you can apply some paw wax or udder butter.
If it just a nervous habit (it happens) then keeping him from licking will be best. Some apple bitter can be sprayed on. I know one dog that gets a reaction from swimming in creek water. |
