We don't go walking much off the property unless the dogs are working. We exercise them in the backyard. With fetching and kongs and we have a large kids pool they love plus racing around and playing with each other gives them a tom of exercise. PLus yesterday we took them to a lake near us for the first time. They both had a blast swimming and racing into the water to fetch sticks. But I think their favorite part was gettign all wet then picking someone to shake beside. My daughter was usually their victim. lol

We had a thread on this before, it's quite interesting to see what the different members do. For me and Poppy we do:

45 mins - 1 hour walk before I go to work. Quite often this involves meeting up with her friends

1 - 2 hours walk after work with retrieving ball, swimming or through the woods.

Play time and training in the house (time varies).

At weekends we basically spend most of our days out walking and sometimes swimming

And then we go to bed...

A walk around the neighborhood, don't really know how long that lasts. It depends how fast we walk and if I bring Rusty or not (he is so bad that he stays home about half the time). Playing ball in the house and wrestling. Running all over the backyard and playing ball some more in a larger space. Then if they are being good I let them run all over the larger part of the yard without the fence (4 acres) if I can watch them closely. I don't know what it all adds up to though. And they wrestle and play with each other alot during the day.

Nothing it set in stone per day.. but over the week...

We go on daily walks (but more for just potty). Then one day a week Ollie goes to daycare to run around and get some energy released.

Then on the weekends, I try to take the dogs to the park or bring them somewhere (grandma's, friends) where Ollie can play frisbee or play with the ball and also the two of them run around and chase each other.

I guess too, on a daily basis my dogs play with each other.. which is a good form of exercise.

that was really cute BabyE! Excercise for my dog consists of frisbee, more frisbee and even more firsbee. He has ADD over frisbee's! and about once every 2 weeks we go to the beach and he wears himself out in the ocean and we go to the Sheriff's dept k-9 training center and he runs thier course. He isnt a police dog but my hubby is a cop and i love going up there and working with him.

Lilly gets taken for a long walk or run every morning, and again at night time. Between time she plays and exercises herself, in warmer weather she goes swimming and hiking etc too.

Blaze goes for small walks, but mainly exercises himself at the moment. I'm going to start taking him swimming soon and he plays with Lilly and other puppies his age quite a lot. He's always running around!
