Ginger prevents motion sickness

Ginger the root of the plant Zingiber officindale is a tasty way to prevent motion sickness in dogs or humans.The active components are thought to be volatile oils and pungent compounds called gingerols and shogaols.No one is sure how they work it appears they dont act on the central nevous system the way most anti-nausea medications do but on the gastrointestinal track itself.
Although not as effective as dimenhydrinate or scopolamine ginger does work and completly safe.Even the discovery show mythbusters validated its efficancy. simply give a miediem sized dog two ginger cookies twenty minutes from departure.You can also buy ginger in capsle form,but the cookies actually seem to work better.Maybe its the sugar.

Definately works. That's also why Ginger-Ale taste good when you're sick.

Definitely works, my mom used to make us a ginger drink with warm water, ginger and sugar, worked every time. I buy my ginger from a bin store and have 1 each lunch time to help my food go down.

It works. I get motion sickness so bad that I still get it but not so bad. And it is very tasty, love ginger. If I have pickled ginger from sushi in my house, I take that as opposed to pepcid. It tastes like it would do more harm than not but it works wonders.

I have been using Ginger and it has worked for me.
