How often do they get:

Rabies shots? I can't remember. I'm sure it's been a year since she had a rabies shot.

Here the county requires them every year, even though there is a 3 year shot available. At least the rabies vaccine is a completely killed virus. The ones that give your dog the really negative hit on their immune system are the vaccines where the virus is only partially killed.

Out here it's mandatory every 4 yrs, maybe depends on the location....I'm in Canada. But since I had to detox my dog after the last rabies shot I just don't give anymore shots for anything. My horses don't get any shots either and never get anything.

Pung I'd rather not give them anything either. But since I live in town if anything happened or if the dog warden wanted to check I have to prove she is covered or else they could fine me or take her away from me.. (Over my dead body she would). Anyway if I was in the country I wouldn't worry too much but since were in town I'd better call Monday and check on her records. They normally send a card letting me know the shots are due but they may not have my current address.. I can't remember..

Yeah, I understand Salem, but I would rather chance the fine and I don't think anyone would try to remove a service dog from anyone (I hope) cause it would be over my dead body also. They do lots of checking out here too, but my vet lets it pass, so I'm pretty lucky.

Well Salem, you might be real lucky. If they don't have your address, you could say (if they check) that you're new here and didn't realize what their laws were cause you haven't found a vet yet. It's only a white lie and it's to help your dog, so god forgives that (I think lol)
