Is he up to date on all his shots? Is he vomiting too?
You can try canned pumpkin or even Pepto bismo. I strongly suggest you calll a vet and ask them over the phone what to do. |

um yeah
I tried calling but all they want is for me to bring him in and I cant afford it right now. He is not vomiting he's a few months behind on his shots and his poo is black . I think it might be from my roomate giving him too many pig ears, he's not use to eating those.

Part of responsible dog ownership is taking a dog to the vet when they need it. If you don't have the money, then you need to be resourceful:
Borrow from a friend or family member Call around to different vets and see if you can find one who will work with you on payments Call local Humane Society and shelters to inquire about no cost/low cost vet care These are more desperate measures (I'm very resourceful!): Pawn something Sell a pint of blood to a local blood bank If I knew I didn't have the money required to get my dog vet care when they needed it, I'd consider rehoming them, at least until my financial picture got better. Emergencies happen to every pet owner (plus the routine stuff). You need to be able to get care when needed. Hope things get better soon! |

I have no idea how old you are or why you cannot afford the vets.
You take the responsibility of the dog and therefore you take the responsibility of paying the vet bills when necessary. My dog is dying and I would love to spend every minute of every day with him but I have had to take a job which involves nearly 2 hours driving every day but I am prepared to do this so he has the necessary treatment that he needs and the correct very expensive food that he has been put on by the vet. If I can do it why can't you? Sorry to appear rude but your dog is your responsibility and if you can't afford the treatment you should not have the dog. Take it to someone who is prepared to put the effort into looking after him properly. It breaks my heart each morning when I have to get up at 6.00 a.m in order to be in the office for 8.30 and have to work in an office until 5.00 and then do not get back to Fireking until about 6.00 and not knowing without expensive mobile phone calls to my husband every chance I have to ensure that Fireking is OK and as soon as I get the call that the end is near then the job can go to rot and I will be on the motorway to get home to be with him at the end. Blunt but true. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Frankie and Fireking Last edited by frankie; 05-25-2006 at 01:29 PM.
