Unhappy C.C's been throwing up for over a week???? HELP?? IDEAS??

Hello, my little 3pnd chi, C.C has been throwing up for almost a week an a half now. When she throws up its just yellow and foamy, sometimes bright yellow.

I am going to take her to the vet but I cant get an appointment for another 2 weeks, we only have 2 vets in the whole city!!!!!!!

She hasnt changed her diet at all and she doesnt seem sick she still plays and eats normally.

Does anyone have any ideas about what this could be?? She NEVER throws up food or anything else but yellow slimy foam

HELP!!!!
THANKS C.C

I would look for a different vet outside of your local area and travel a little more and get her looked at before your other appt. Thats JMO.

IS she throwing up on a "full" stomach? Or is it empty?

Meka went through a spell where I had to give her an evening snack to keep her from getting sick. I forgot what the vet called it, but basically its common, and they need food in their little belly.

They aren't ANY emergency clinics around? Or any that take emergencies?

That's ridiculous. I'd do like lovemelovemydog said... drive elsewhere. I don't think vomiting for over a week, should turn into 3 weeks.

The area she lives in is probably considered "remote" to most of us. It's not surprising to me that there's not an abundance of vets in the area.

The yellow foam is most likely bile. She has what a human would consider to be acid reflux. I wish I could tell you why. Is there a large animal vet where people have their horses. They may be able to give you some advise until you can see your dog vet. If she is really doing poorly you may need to take her for a trip rather than wait 2 weeks.

Thanks guys. I live 5 hours away from Edmonton where other vets would be, and on one if the deadly and riskisest single lane highways in canada, I'm sure everyone has heard about deadly hwy 63.

Dobermom- she nibbles food all day, sometimes her tummy is full and sometimes its empty.

Barnjess- Yes she's spayed

Mara- we only have 2 small animal vets in this town, no big animal vets, we need a large animal vet here soooo bad, there are sooo sooo many horses. Someone could make some amazing coin being a vet here!!

Acid reflux?? Interesting, I am going to try and look it up or call my old vet in Edmonton and see what they say. thanks

My dog Chukki has bouts of gastritis occasionally because she gets stressed easily (loud sounds, firecrackers etc).
When on an empty stomach she has a yellowish tinged vomitus too.
I usually give her Gelusil syrup about twice a day for 2-3 days and if she is vomiting more than twice a day I give her a tablet of Ranitidine(150 mg - she weighs 20 kg) a day.She responds well to this and I've cleared this regime with my vet.
Yaj.
