Arrow Emergency in Ky

If your in or around Ky and can help please respond. The shelter just emailed me today trying to find a doggie a home ASAP. I can't help unfortunatly but maybe one of you can.

Quote:
I got a call today (6-2-06) from Cheryl, one of our Humane Society members and active volunteers. A neighbor of hers is needing to find a home for her dog (purebred husky) IMMEDIATELY! Her husband is out of town and she is leaving him, and wants to be gone before he gets home to avoid a confrontation. Cheryl will be taking the lady's cat, but we have to find a home for Cherokee right away. He is a great dog. Loves kids and other dogs. Lived inside with them at one time and had no problem with the cat, but that has been a long time, so there's no way to know how he would be now. He has been neutered and is a beautiful boy. PLEASE help spread the word and contact Cheryl if you can help place this dog. (502) 859-3489
btw this is in Anderson Co. Ky. Which is about 15 mins away from Frankfort.

I know you and others would. See I live right in this town and I can't help. Stupid landlords don't let ya have many pets..if any at all around here. The shelter is pretty full right now so if he had to go to the shelter they'd have to "make room".

Are there any Husky Rescues in your or any neighbouring states that might come and get him?

I'm not sure. I know there's another rescue in town that takes all dogs. But they are always full because they are no-kill.

sorry to put this thought in here - but... what a horrible woman. she may just be being vindictive and getting rid of the guy's dog while he's out of town and leaving him on top of it. why automatically try to rehome the dog just because she's moving out?
