Recommendations for disinfecting a Dogloo before Puppy arrives? (Puppy Pics)

Just purchased a used Dogloo off Craigslist.org and it was pretty dirty. I used my buddies 9hp Honda pressure washer for about 75mins inside out. It went from used to new minus the couple of teeth marks. The pressure washer was so powerful it actually made some gouges in the plastic in some areas, do you think after my overkill pressure wash job I should still disinfect this thing???

What should I use to kill any germs before my new 7week GSD arrives on 7/10?

Yes, I think you should disintect it. Use antibacterial spray, and you may also want to go over with an odor neutralizer. You don't want any old dog stain smells in there to confuse the pup.

No, it will be a indoor dog but a kennel was a requirement from the breeder along with a fenced back yard so I spent over 400$ for a extra place to put the dog. Also will have a indoor crate that I will use plus I am taking a week off of my vacation time to spend with the pup to get him adjusted. Read about 5 books now about dogs and am shooting to raise this dog the best I can. I can't stand people that leave there dogs chained up or in a kennel 24/7, I feel your concern.

Yeah, i was thinking bleach, that won't be hard to do. Should I rinse the bleach off afterwards or just use a 50/50 bleach water mix and wipe it down? Thanks again.

cool!!! welcome to GSDS!!! good for your breeder too!!!! im sorry to be so jaded but it kills me when people toss worling dogs outside into a kennel full time and they get ignored especially at such an important age. Thank you for understanding. I would rinse away the bleach yes, good luck on your pup will you be doing any work with him? I asume he is eno and also from that I asume he is German lines?

I would say use a 50/50 mixture and then make sure you wipe it down thoroghly so the smell doesn't stay.

Actually that has been my online game name for about 6yrs. While browsing GSD names I came across eno in there and had a chuckel. I'm a geek I know.

We both decided on "Rocco" as the new pups name. As far as german lines, I originally was looking into specific german/american lines but went to this breeder since I saw the parents and previous litter. Very calm w/ good temperment and good dark looks. So they have AKC papers but they don't have much info on what blood. The breeder has some good strong points I like but leaves some areas a little to be desired. He has a extremly good reputation around this area for dog training and has been doing it for 30yrs.

Welcome Eno, you sound like a caring dog owner. I would use 50/50 bleach and rinse afterwards.
