Fostering
I start tommrow. We got a pen and a dog house today.. Im going to be fostering 3-5 puppies at a time.
 The reason im doing this is because a few puppies died last weekend because of dehydration.   I will be posting pictures as soon as I get them, which will hopefully be tommorow.

We have a meeting tonight and we are going to discuss it and HOPFULLY tommorow there will be some puppies out here! =)

I hope it all works out! You wouldn't have the same separation problems that you had with Haven, since it is summer so it should work out better. What kind of puppies? Post pictures!

I will probably know tommorow.. im GUESSING Labs, Rottweiler, and Shepherd mixes. Here is where they will stay while im gone and at night.
What should I put in the dog house? It gets up to 100 degrees here. I just happened to capture the shot when there was no shade out there.. but they can get behind the dog house and get in the shade.. Also, im going to keep ice water out there. Me and Jeffrey cleaned out the dog house with Lysol, Bleach, and water incase there was parvo or anything, but im sure they will have their vaccinations.

UPDATE:

You could get something like this for shade (it might be too big though)
(They have it labeled as a 'sun shelter')  I found it online for $19 at petedge. The only thing with petedge they charge like a handling fee if you don't have a $60 order. The same pet shelter was $39 at amazon though.

You can put a tarp on the top of the kennel or on the side were the sun shines in. That's what I do and it keeps it pretty shaded. Just tie it up there with bungee straps. Very easy.

Do you have a big fan that you could plug in with an extension cord? Or you could probably get one from Walmart or something. That is awfully hot for pups to be out in. Since you used bleach make sure you rinsed it off really well. Like hersheysmom said, putting tarp over it would be a good idea, just hook it on with some bungee cord and attatch the other end of the cord to the bottom of the fence.

cant really tell by the picture but could it be put back further under the trees for a little bit more natural shade?
