Peeing??

Since Bandit has been on antibiotics he has been peeing everywhere! And he has never done this before..he peed on my 400 dollar down comforter...i had to sleep in my floor last night...is there anything i can do about the peeing? And is it from the antibiotics?

I'm sorry but I don't remember what the antibiotics are for---sorry, just remembered, Heartworm. There is a possibility---what is the antibiotic called?

Hi, I was just checking through your last threads and saw he's on Furosimide. That is a diuretic pill that makes the kidneys produce more pee than usual. It keeps fluid from collecting in his lungs.
I only work with humans, but know that diuretics can cause sudden uncontrollable urges to pee. It's also called Novosomide or Lasix....
I personally would call the vet to see if he still needs to be on it. If so, he would probably benefit by wearing a diaper when in bed.

The way the name "Lasix" was developed is that the medication "Las"ts "Six" hours, so when we give it to humans we always try to give it in the morning or anytime that you know the patient will be "up" for about 6 hours. You may just have to change the time of day you are giving it to him.
Let me know if any of this helps.......

Just be sure you contact the vet that gave you the medication before changing how you give it. I'm sure it can be arranged that Bandit receive all his medicine and your bed be dry.
