Stress related?

This morning Kota had gone on the floor a little bit. 2 spots not very big (fist size) of diarrhea. Could this be stress related? If I remember right the last time we left for Ohio she also got Diarrhea but only after we left. Maybe she knows now and is worried about it? I'd hate to think it causes her stress. I mean I don't even lock her in the bedroom when we leave. I let her have free roam of the house, turn the tv on animal planet for her and my mom checks in often. (3-4 times a day) .

I don't think I should leave now but then again it was only a little bit..and she is acting fine. Maybe I should take her to the vet. If I do that though I'll have to stay home.

I just don't know what to do. We really want this trip but I don't wanna leave my baby while she's sick. But if it's only stress then is she always going to do this when we want to leave??????????

If you have suit cases out, it might be stress related. Dogs never forget a
suit case.

Well we haven't packed yet but we did get the suitcase out of the closet.

When my dog sees a suitcase she knows I'll be gone for awhile. Gotta remember that our dogs are smarter than we realize. You could always give the vet a call and see what they think.

Does your vet have a boarding service... maybe that would help.

Hi SalemWC Fireking got stressed the other day as we were sorting out the garage and the suitcases were found and dusted down. Loads of dust in Spain. Anyway he seemed very depressed until they were put back in the place we took them from.
So they do know and they will miss you, but if you need the trip you must go on it,
My suggestion is that if you have a spare suitcase then leave that open with some of his belongings such as toys and he will think he is going with you and when your mum comes and checks on him to make sure that she gives him an old cardigan or something that smells of you and he will know you are coming back for him.

Thanks everyone. I left the tv on for Kota all weekend long. (Animal planet..lol) and she did just fine. No diarrhea at all. Mom said she was sad but otherwise fine.

Of course she would have been sad but bet she was pleased when you returned.
