Could be either boredom, or possesiveness.

How long have you had the other dog/s?
Wally started this kind of behaviour a few months back, not so much undergarments, but only picking up and chewing hubby's stuff. There is an assortment of everyones shoes and hats on the back porch, but he is always taking off with hubby's stuff, you should see his hat, or what is left of it.

My solution to my problem, pick it up out of Wally's reach.

How can she be getting them?
Dog rule #1(might be another #) - if it's on the floor - it's mine.

Agreeing with Dax here... I don't have the problem, because I don't leave my underwear on the floor. lol.

Ripley did this once when I left my underwear on the floor. My solution? Use a laundry basket for your underwear, and don't give the dog the opportunity to chew on it.

This doesn't sound like a big behavioral problem.. It's not something that needs to be read into very deeply as of this moment. It sounds to me like the dog just likes the smell and is entertained by chewing them up.
If, once you keep the underwear out of her reach, she turns her destructiveness to something else, I would then be concerned and seek advice.

Bailey used to do that. My underwear & socks, hubby's jeans & socks& shirts, and anything else she could get her teeth on. We originally just kept the bedroom door closed, because she would take things out of the hamper too, not just off the floor. What finally solved our problem was we quit giving her rawhide treats. Don't know why that made it an issue, but as soon as she quit getting those & only had a couple of her own toys to chew on, she hasn't chewed on anything since.
