Unhappy male fear

Extension to previous.
Also, she is so freaked out about my husband it's not even funny! Other men and people she is sheepish with, but not nearly as bad as with him. She doesn't like to be in the same room as him. And she won't come near me even if we are sitting on separate couches. <sigh> Please help me!!
She is so good-natured when she is with me, I want her to love him too!! He feels so sad about it.

Also,if that does not work, have him put her outside to go do her "business" & have him feed her...She will grow to like him...Good Luck!

Pitti's right. There are certain daily routines that should be his job (if he really wants it to change)

1. Food - all food for the dog to come from him even treats. He shouldn't try to get her to take food out of his hand right away - give it two weeks then go from there.

2. Crate release - it should be his job to let her out of her crate in the morning. Even if nothing else.

It sounds like whoever abused her was a man. It will take a long time for her to warm up to him. The more you force it the less likely it will happen. When he talks to her - he should keep his voice light & upbeat. Even baby talk is ok. His dealing with her should always be on a happy note.
