    Question Photo Editing Software?

I'm just wondering what everybody uses for photo editing software. Photoshop (CS2 is the most recent version it looks) is pretty pricey, but I know it does amazing things - but I just want to tinker, so I don't want anything THAT pricey . Just thinking about getting something right now, don't know if I have the time to actually play with and learn a program like this at the moment .

I have Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop CS2

I prefer Photoshop but is expensive but I use them both really.

I use GIMP 2.0. It's a pretty impressive program and absolutely free. Here are some examples of what I've done with it so you can see a bit of what it is capable of. The first picture is actually three pictures edited together so I could have all my dogs in a picture together. The second is just a picture with some added text and animation. The photo enhancing properties are so-so with GIMP and there are a few features that it lacks. But for a free toy, it's pretty nice.
