Advantage

I gave Toby a bath tonight and put his Advantage on him that the vet prescribed for fleas. I don't even know if I put it on right. I put some on the back of his neck, btwn his shoulder blades, and at the base of his tail like the vet said, but the tube was so tiny and his hair is so course and impossible to "part" like the vet suggested. I hope I did it right. There sure isn't much in there.

You will be fine,it is hard to get it on the skin with thick hair. My pugs have thick hair and the Frontline spreads with the natural oils in the coat.
How is he doing? Any improvement?
Shushu had what I thought was hormonal hairloss, but it got worse. So I took her to my vet and she has flea dermatitis causing her hair to fall out alittle. I didn't put the Frontline on her while she was pregnant. I didn't know she was allergic to fleas, she never had them before.

Toby is doing good...it may be my imagination, but I could have swore that when I gave him his bath tonight his mange had improved. He's been on his meds since Saturday. Today, I gave him his mange med on an empty stomache, and I will NOT do that again cuz I came home from work and my house REEKED...he had thrown his meds up in his kennel. From now on I'll give it to him in the early evening hours like I had been previously. Thanks for asking about him Micki. Did the vet do anything for the scratch on your puppy's eye?

Oh sure she cleaned his eye and put a solution to make it glow so she could see the scratch, I could see it without anything. And then drops 2 times a day for 14 days. It looks pretty bad but the eye heals fast so he should be good soon.
Shushu is getting better quickly, no fleas and no itching have let it start healing.
Your little one will be all better soon too.

Some flea treatments don't work well after a bath you usually have to wait a couple of days, just make sure because else you will waist your money

Oh, great...I hope I didn't just waste that little tiny tube since I gave him a bath first. I can bathe him with detergent free shampoo throughout the month, right? It won't wash the Advantage off? Any suggestions on a mild, detergent free dog shampoo that's not too expensive?
