Behavior issues after neuter surgery

Maddux has been very agressive (snapping, biting) and has been eliminating in the house since his neuter surgery on Monday. Yesterday was his first thunderstorm, so that may explain the accidents, but he peed inside my GFs moms house today, with no bad weather. He's typically totally housebroken. Could it be that he's in pain, and is acting out? Could it be a side effect of his pain medication?

Gee, I never had that problem with any male that I neutered. I wonder if his stitches are bothering him, did you check them? He could just be reacting to the anaesthetic, some dogs are more sensitive to it and take longer to get their bearings back.

he lays on his back so i can scratch his belly and chest, and while he does, i usually take a very close look at the stiches. they look great. no swelling, no sign of blood. i touched the area around it, and everything was fine and he didn't react at all. i went as far as to softly touch the actual stitches, and he didn't even flinch. i know he's getting in his "terrible twos" stage (almost 5 months old now) so it might just be a coincidence. he's still a pretty good boy, but these little mistakes have been more frequent this week. again though...it's been extremely hot and now extremely rainy. i won't worry about it until next week.

Maybe it just weakened the ring and it'll take a while to get back to normal.
