Calluses

Do your dogs have calluses on there elbows? Sheena does. Not very big ones and they are not noticable but she does have them. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them? They don't bother her so I am just curious about them and if there is a way to get rid of them or make sure they don' happen. Luca doesn't have any yet.

they are called pressure spots. it means the dog isn't getting enough excersize and spending too many hours just laying down, doing nothing.

Dax has them. Only on one side. She often lies on concrete in the summer to keep cool. Have you seen those cooling beds? They are padded. It might help.

HI Dor---I guess my dogs are getting lots of exercise, I've never had a dog with that. I do see them on lots of dogs here.

I have seen those beds. Sheena hates to lay on doggy beds, blankets and so forth. She will push them away to lay on teh cool floors and growned. She has two small ones. One on each knee. I figure it is from teh multiple surfaces she has to lay on as a service dog. She gets plenty of exercise and freedom of movement so I know it isn't form lack of exercise.

What does she think of the hammock? Did it take a while for her to get used to it? I have always wondered about getttng one for my two.

I have always used the hammocks as i also make them all of my dogs love them, they get airflow and no stress on joints keeps them off the kennel floor when in the kennel
