Meet Justice and Oliver Twist
Here are two special needs dogs at GSROC right now.
Say "hello" to Justice. http://www.gsroc.org/available_dogs_detail.asp?ID=348 The pictures you are about to view are very graphic and disturbing. They are pictures of a German Shepherd Dog who was intentionally abused and burned with a chemical. German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County was asked to help a dog that was not expected to survive the abuse he suffered at the hands of the person who adopted him from the South Central Animal Shelter. This person adopted a beautiful healthy dog and look what they did to him... Los Angeles Police found this dog in a car, and they thought he was dead. He was then transferred to the shelter. We were called to help this badly abused dog...The Founder of GSROC rushed to the shelter to rescue this dog. She then rushed him to our vets office where they fought to stabilize him and save his life. We have named him Justice. We gave him that name because once we save him, and we are determined to do just that, we are going to get justice for him. We are going to DEMAND the Los Angeles Police Dept. hold the person who did this accountable, and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. Justice and his injuries and burns will NOT be swept under the rug. Right now our focus is saving Justice. We are once again reaching out to the animal lovers who support GSROC and the dogs we save. Justice needs extensive medical treatment and we need to ask for your help once again. We know it seems like we are always asking for help, but we just cannot turn our backs on the dogs no one else will take in. Our medical bills for Willow are enormous, but we could not allow Justice to suffer in an animal shelter. There is no donation too small and no kind thought unappreciated. Thank you for caring about Justice. If you have any questions about Justice, or how you can help bring the person who did this pay for his horrific crime of animal abuse please call Maria at 714/773-5915 or email mdalescomm@aol.com or Shawn 714/206-9002 or email ShawnGSDRescue@aol.com Please, please help us to get justice for Justice... UPDATE 6/27 PM We have been asked by those wishing to help Justice to post the following information: Donations may be sent to either of these addresses: German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County 177F Riverside Avenue Newport Beach, CA 92663 or German Shepherd Rescue of OC c/o Community Vet Hospital 13200 Euclid Ave Garden Grove, CA 92843 To demand Justice for Justice, please contact as many of the following individuals as you can: Captain Jim Canselor - Animal Abuse Task Force 213-485-4111 Animal Cruelty Task Force - 213-847-1417 Mayor Anthony Villaraigosa Phone 213-978-0600 Fax 213-978-0750 LA Animal Services General Manager Ed Boks at eboks@ani.lacity.org Refer to the dog that was found on Broadway with chemical burns. To date, we are not aware of any police report or investigation number on this case!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Say "hello" to Oliver Twist. http://www.gsroc.org/available_dogs_detail.asp?ID=389 Oliver is an adorable black and tan shepherd boy who is eager to learn what it's like to be a valued member of a family. Our volunteers will shower him with attention, but we know that Oliver wants to be someone's pride and joy. He's an active, inquisitive puppy who will grow into a wonderful adult, given proper direction, leadership and training. Oliver was found as a stray with no collar or tags, just a tattered piece of dirty rope tied around his neck. He had so many ticks feeding off him that he was anemic and lethargic. He's on the road to recovery but will truly thrive in a loving, forever home. UPDATE AUGUST 8 Oliver is gradually gaining confidence. He is in a foster home where he is learning that he doesn't have to be afraid. The first few days that he was there, Oliver hid behind anything that he could find. Now, he's venturing out to meet the other foster dogs and to see what smells so good in the kitchen! Oliver is going to need a very, very patient and reassuring home because his life has been so horrible until this point. Could you be the person to show him how wonderful life can truly be? To arrange to meet Oliver, please complete the online application first and then contact Mdalescomm@aol.com for more information. ![]() ![]() ![]() www.gsroc.org |

I can't believe that people would do this to all these helpless dogs......I hope that these people that did this are found and are brought to justice the fullest extent.

Now this is why I believe that anyone and everyone should be screened before getting an animal.
