Poisonous palm fruits?
Anybody know what kind of palm tree this is and whether or not the fruits off of it are poisonous? Wyatt ate a couple of them and I hope they are nothing to worry about. They smell sort of like a papaya and they have one large seed in the center that he also ate. They are in a place where if the horses were in the yard, they could also get to them.

The fruit looks like a persimmon, have never seen the tree except now. guess you'll have to wait and see how your dog reacts to it. It's the pits I'd be worried about.

It looks like from my research that this is a Jelly Palm from Brazil. The people there harvest the fruits to make candies, jellies and desserts. Perfectly safe!
