9 month old Belgian

I have a 9 month old female Belgian that was bought by a friend of mine and then given to a pet home when her temperment didn't seem to be turning out well. She was returned 4 months later with a lovely temperment, and then given to me to foster. We started to consider co-owning her rather than adopting her out, as she does have such a lovely temperment despite her conformation which is less than perfect. However, we noticed that she has splayed feet and so she can not be worked hard as her feet will give out on her, and that is a liability to breed as well as Belgians are bred to run all day.

She is a very sweet girl though, and needs a good home. She's only been with me a month and I haven't had alot of time to train her and it's obvious her last home didn't train her, but she is a willing worker, always eager to please, and enjoys clicker training.

She gets along well with children and other dogs, but can play a bit rough with the kitties -- she just needs a kitty to put her in her place.

She is free with an optional adoption fee of the owner's choice, and we are willing to ship if it is the right home.

Thanks guys!

I have great news --- two wonderful homes have contacted me to inquire about Candy -- both homes want to train her for drug detection! Candy is a lucky gal to have this option. It will be hard for me to choose, so after giving them alot more information about her, I'm hoping one will back out and the other will want her. One of the homes has been training police dogs forever, and both of the homes have Belgians. They are both so experienced, I could not have dreamed of better people.

Well, I've decided on a home in Alberta. The husband trains dogs for drug/bomb detection and protection, and he also runs obedience training classes and boarding. They often get Belgians from Europe for drug/bomb detection that aren't good with kids, but the wife and son really love Belgians and want one that can be a family dog. Candy loves kids, and she would also be an obedience demo dog. So it looks like she has a good home. They live on an entirely fenced ranch and have a little yorkie and often foster dogs to play with.
