Put To Sleep.
Today me and Jeffrey went out to the shelter to meet 2 vets and the dog catchers to get the new ones vaccinated and I put them on petfinder. Well there was this female adult Pit Bull and she was white with brindle spots and patches. Well I was gonna just bring her home and foster her.. But she had heartworms pretty bad and had to be put down. While we were out there going through them, these people brought 7 Shepherd mix puppies out there with the worst mange I have EVER SEEN
 and they were all put to sleep bc they were mean and had it so bad they were suffering. They also put to sleep another Shepherd bc they had 2 that looked alot and needed more space and a black lab bc there are so many big black dogs up there. It was just really heartbreaking.   But I did get 2 puppies today. I will post pics soon. I dont know the breeds, that will be for you guys to decide! lol.. But their names are Truffle and Reba. 1 boy and 1 girl..

HOW CUTE ARE THOSE DOGS!?!?!?!?!?! Ahh I bet you love em to death huh? So sad to hear that thou, thats why when I get older I want to run my own no kill dog shelter. What I thought was sad thou was that they put a dog to sleep cuz she was black. I mean come on.

Yeah but there are so many black dogs and idontknow why but not many people want to adopt big black dogs..

I just read this post and looked at the dogs. They are both on HOLD - does that mean they found homes?!?! They're cute - I especially like Reba
 Maybe you could foster some of the big black dogs?

Actually they are both going to be sent to puppy shelter so they will get adopted. None are really getting adopted right now. They will leave Aug. 23.

O that us sad I would never be able to have that job. But the pups that you got are really cute.

The pups are real sweet, but your story was heartbreaking. I have no clue as to why people would hesitate buying a black dog. As far as I'm concerned they should be looking past the colour. Black dogs can give as much love as any other colour.
