home

well its good news, the vet said one of Hennas hips is worse than the other but he feels at 7 months old with the right treatment she could have a normal life, she is on pain killers and cartlidge tabs and has to have 4 x15 minute on the lead walks a day to rebuild the muscle, i have stopped puppy food as she is growing too quick and she is no longer in her crate at night so can spread out more. But as no damage has been done to the ball as such it could repair.
Let hope it works.

That's great news! I didn't see your original post about her if there was one.

Sounds like your vet is doing all the right things. I do the same with Cara. She's 4 and sometimes she gets sore. Sometimes pretty bad and it's really hard to watch, but she's alive and loved and happy, as I'm sure your Henna is.

I have some pretty bad sciatica pain myself, so I feel we're kind of in the same boat, she and I.

I'll be thinking of you and Henna and hope to hear regular updates.

So what is the treatment? Is physical therapy part of it?

Big hugs to her. Good news - at least there is hope that she can live a normal pain free life.

she is on painkillers for a while to stop her compensating when she walks so it doesnt become a habbit, the she is on something else but without looking not sure what, plus shark cartlidge and a strict excersise regine to rebuild her muscle so lets hope it does the trick.
Thanks for all your well wishes.
