Puppy Hiccups

I thought I would post this here as opposed to the General Chat forum.

My 4 month old Pom male tends to have early morning hiccups...that last only a few minutes. He comes bouncing over to me hiccuping all the way

So, being the dog-health nut that I am, I decided to do a little investigating.

These are but some of the sites that addressed this. Apparently it's totally normal and, yes, he does gulp his water lol.

It is funny how many puppies get hiccups. Thanks for posting. I am taking the liberty of adding this post in the Health Sticky.

I thought something was wrong with bernice when she did that as a pup, but asked the vet and found the same thing as you! Tank did the same thing and then one day it seemed, they just stopped.

oh, i love puppy hiccups. Faith used to get them several times a day. it was funny how one day my hubby and i realized that she hadn't had them for a few days, and since then she rarely gets them. i guess she's all grown up now. ^___^

Dax..please do. He is very, very funny with the hiccups. Emma never had them so I wondered why Dak did. He chugs his water like a frat-brat.

I've only seen my terrier hicup once and it was due to the fact that he gulped his food down.
