It sounds like some gas - you can give puppy a gas-x or phazyme (any gas relief product containing simethicone will work) to see if that will provide some relief. And then contact your vet this week if it hasn't subsided about getting a current fecal done and make sure your pup hasn't picked up any critters.

Make sure he is still eating and drinking, and at the first sign of any diarrhea, vomiting or lethargy, get him to the vet to check it out.

In the meantime though, it just sounds like a little puppy gas.

i dropped by the vet today and asked about his condition. the vet said it was gas. (as what shadowfacedanes said) she pescribed a medicine and i gave it to my pup when i arrived. after giving it my pup pooped--a lot. but it wasn't diarrhea. i guess his stomach wasn't able to digest the dogfood i gave him for breakfast (cause he was just gulping it all down and not even chewing it). but he's all fine now! weeee!!

whew! a lot of prayers went with this one and GOD is REALLY GOOD!!!

to shadowfacedanes and southern_girl09 thanks so much for the concern! (oh, and yeah he's been dewormed already.) have a great day!

You can get him to slow down his eating by putting a small rubber ball in his food dish. That way, he has to move the ball around to get to the food. It will allow him to swallow his food before taking another bite. Doesn't always work, but it's worth a try.

you can also put his food into a kong to feed. This really slows my dog down when she's eating. We do have to feed her several kong-fulls to give her the correct amount, but it works.

I like the Kong idea. I put the empty on in Maia's dish, but she moves it around so quickly, it doesn't really slow down her eating. I'll have to try putting the food IN the Kong and see how that works-good idea! Kathy and Maila

If you got lots of time, you could try hand feeding him a bit of his meal. It makes him wait for his food, and gives him time to chew.
That's what I did to my pup when he use to inhale his food in.
He's eating a lot better now.

(oh and I did the tennis-ball-in-the-bowl too. Works pretty good, but then he'd just throw the ball out.)

There is a new bowl out called the Brake-fast bowl that was designed for dogs who gulp their food. The knobs are part of the bowl design, and the dog eats slower because he has to work around the knobs to get to the food.

Might be helpful for your little guy.
