Puppies and fleas.
I've got a litter of 7 puppies that are only 3 weeks old, and they have fleas. What can I do? If anything.
I think momma doggy has them too but petsmart told us not to use flea collars on a pregnant dog so we took it off her and the day I was going to give her a flea bath she had the pups. So what can I do to take care of this problem or will I have to wait till they're older? |

when i got bernice she had fleas and was too young. my vet suggested i get some all natural flea shampoo especially made for young dogs. i got it from my petstore but can't remember the name of it.
i do know it was all natural and worked wonderfully without harming a young pup. it was in a tan bottle and was called something flea if that helps, and i'm sure it didn't ! lol |

If you can't find the shampoo that bemama is talking about you can always get a flea comb its tedious but the pups will appreciate

dont' know that one, i had zero problems with using it on bernice and she's got some allergies. I never put shampoo on their faces though, as i don't want it to get in their eyes. i always use a washcloth with warm water on the face and then flea comb the head/face

I think its just an issue of soap in the mouth. While a little soap in the mouth doesn't really cause damage it can irritate the tummy especially on a very little one.
