flea collars

do they actually work, can they be used on a pup that is almost 3 months old? and if the dogs already have fleas does the flea collar help repel at all?

I've found flea collars to be very inneffective. You're better off using Advantage which is safe for pups that age. It'd be cheaper and more effective in the long run.

I agree with Shadowfacedanes. The collars are ineffective. Go with Advantage or Frontline if they make it for pups that young.

Flea collars only work in the area of the neck and if they get wet are Ineffective even on the neck. Worthless IMO. i agree with the others go with the frontline.

Some people out here always have them on their dogs and cats, yet they get fleas anyway. Some people have gotten intestinal problems from handling these collars when they get wet. I've never used them myself, but I don't think I would trust them.
