Teeth cleaning

I took Jersey to the vet on Friday and she said theat Jersey needs her teeth cleaned. She's my first dog so I'm not sure if this is a normal thing or not. She has a little plaque on 2 of her teeth and will need to be put under to have these 2 teeth cleaned. She's only 3, should I do it or not?

Dental health, just like ours is very important.Gum disease, plaque build up, can lead to other health problems.I guess if you trust your Vet totally, I do mine, then the cleaning would be the thing to do.

Dogs usually get their teeth cleaned once a year. You can buy the equipment and do it yourself if your dog will let you, otherwise I would see the vet. Mine clean their own teeth on bones lol.
