Doxicyclene
The fosters that come in are given these pills twice a day. Another foster mom has 2 pregnant dogs, she e-mailed ME and asked if it would be alright to give them to her pregnant dogs.
I dunno. Also, what all is this for? What does it treat? Thanks in advance!

Doxecycline is an antibiotic. why are they routinely giving the dogs these pills? One side effect is that it can cause damage to new teeth. But pregnant dogs shouldn't be given this. At least we don't, there are other drugs that are safer. do these dogs have skin infectionsor eye infections, urinary tract infections????? Seems odd, to give every dog this as a precautionary measure.

very odd to be giving all the dogs this I agree something is not quite right and it is NOT safe for a pregnant dog
