Is it OK to feed puppies chicken with bones

A friend of mine told me that I am not supposed to feed the puppy chicken with bones, it has to be boneless.

Is he correct in saying that?

No chicken bones. They splinter easily and can get caught in your puppies throat

Generally I agree not to feed any fowl's bones as they are hollow but there are second opinions.

The RAW diet calls for ground up chicken bones being fed. I met a man whose wife is from France where they routinely feed chicken bones & all.

I would NEVER feed cooked chicken bones. I think it is much better if you stick to chicken meat only or better yet a good quality puppy food.

I almost lost a dog to a chicken bone lodged in the throat. Doggie got it out of the trash.

Please don't feed pork chop bones either. My vet had surgery one day I was in because of an owner feeding them to his dog and that dog did not survive.

Even cooked beef bones can splinter. Cooking makes bones brittle. Feed only raw beef/buffalo bones. Raw bones are softer and don't splinter.

ALL cooked bones are dangerous and should not be fed under any circumstances. ONLY beef knuckle bones/thigh bones are "safe" to feed raw but even this is not recommended (at least not by any vet worth their salt)
