How to make my dog obey comands from a distance
My dog is learning fast, He learned to spin in one session. But all the commands he learned while we are within 2 meters.
I want to be able to tell him to sit say from 10 meters away, and he should sit where he is not come all the way to me then sit. Another thing I noticed that he does better when I train him using hand signals than voice commands. For example when I want him to sit, I just point to the flour with my index finger and he sits. I thought maybe something wrong with his hearing sensation, but I obesrved that he can detect the slightest noise. It is difficult to find if it is one ear though. The thing that there is no vet facility where I live. Our vet has just basic treatment. Sorry 2 diferent topics |

I doubt there is anything wrong with your dog's hearing. You must remember that your voice has inflections. No matter how hard we try we can not sound exactly the same all the time. That is why teaching both hand & voice commands is helpful.
If you want to teach your dogs commands at distances - you start within the 2 meter range and then increase the distance by a foot or two over a period of time. Keep increasing it until you have the distance you want with 100% compliance. Sounds like you're doing wonderfully... congrats to both you & your puppy (smarty pants) |

Thanks Dax
I was thinking about leting my son hold him with a leach to prevent him advancing twoards me. And I give the commands from a distance, and my son will give the treet. I will try both methods. Thanks a lot |
