My guess is she ate something, that got caught in her throat.

Meka was once hacking very bad, and a piece of lightly toated toast did the trick.

Sorry about this Tiff!! I agree with Dobermom. Could be a foreign body like a sliver, piece of stick, something like that, in her throat.
Looking forward to an update when you get home.....saying prayers for you and Tigger!

She apparently passed a dead heartworm. She has been put on 3 drugs 1 being adult aspirin 2x day to prevent a blood clot, 1 drug to open up her lungs so she can get a bit of relief and 1 antibiotic. She goes back on Monday for a chest xray. This is not good!! depending on that she will go through heartworm treatment this time. I'm not wanting to do the treatment. I know in my heart know matter what we do the outcome isn't going to be good. She has developed a murmur. She is fine tho other than coughing up the blood. Pray for Tigger please......

I pray for you and yr dog.An heart murmur doesn't mean the worst..I know dogs that had the problem but were well into their teens when they died.I hope that the treatment goes well.I'm so sorry to hear that!.
How are you holding on,yourself?and please keep us posted .A big,big hug to you and her.
