Puppies stolen from Milford store


(Milford-WTNH, Oct. 16, 2006 4:45 PM)_ Milford police try to track down some pilfered puppies.

Police say they are investigating the theft of 9 puppies worth a combined $15,000 from the Pet Company at the Connecticut Post Mall.

Each of these dogs has a microchip implanted in them that can be read by Veterinarians and Animal Control Officers.

The serial numbers implanted in the dogs and descriptions are as follows;
Maltese Puppy color white ser. # 48156F4B52
Cocker Spaniel color black ser. # 475920015F
Dachshund Color red ser. # 481E4B4316
Yorkshire Terrier color black & tan ser. # 47642B3C1E
Miniature Schnauzer color salt & pepper ser. # 48085D400B
Chihuahua color white & tan ser. # 471E5E3031
Yorkshire terrier color black & gold sr. # 480A136A50
Pug color fawn ser. # 481A1E4A7A50
Dachshund color brown & white ser. # 482639293C

they were pet store puppies though right? Stealing them isn't the best way to go about it but I can't say that I feel sorry for the store

after stealing puppies like that - don't they still need homes?! I guess it's just the point that the store will not be getting the profits from the puppy sales.

actually, i wasn't really thinking of profits when i posted this, just that 15 small breed puppies were stolen. either they are going to get used as "bait" to train fighting dogs or some byb can make some money off them.

i figured the more word got out there that the dogs have chips and can be traced might encourage whoever stole them to get them to a pound.

if they are using the dogs as bait for dog fighting... they probably would have 'mass burials' too... don't you think?

I really hope they dont return to the pet store. Those scum bags dont need to be making money off these dogs.

Besides, I highly doubt these dogs will be used as bait dogs for fighters. In fact I can bet they arent. No one is going to risk breaking into a shop to steal some puppies. There are plenty of stray cats and dogs, and plenty of FREE ads.
