UPDATE!! Pandy's pup to the vet

I am so mad. Appearantly when I was at work, Sharon went into Pandy's whelp box--which is ok here, they are a community. Anyway, Sharon stepped on the sandy boy when someone came to the door. He now has a swelling on his side. We go to the vet in about 45min.

Well, it's bad news. He has a hernia. Which means his intestines are poking out through a hole. It was my worse fear. I had a clue but wanted to beleive I wasn't educated enough to know.
He is too small and too young for my vet to perform hernia repair surgery. She has put in calls to the universities nearby. We should know more tomorrow. He appears fine. I asked about a band until he is older but she wasn't sure. He is with his mom and littermates....acting normal. If you can spare a prayer he could certainly use some.
Surgery at one of the universities would be in the thousands range, but I am willing to pay it.
The truth came out. Kody had them on my bed and he fell off. It's a platform bed so it's not a long fall. He is just 9 3/4 ounces so it's far for him and landed on the basket. I know I should be worried about Kody feeling guilty but I hope he does. He needs to realize his actions or inactions have serious consequences.

Well can Kody work cleaning kennels or slopping stalls to help pay for the procedure?

Of course you have my hopes and prayers that it will resolve itself.
