Pippy spay update

Well, as you all know, Pippy was spayed on September 21. When I took her in to have her stitches out on the 3rd, she had a little lump under her sticth area about the size of a grape. It wasn't red, didn't seem to bother her in the least or affect her in any way. When I asked, the vet tech said that some dogs are allergic to the internal stitches and to keep an eye on it, but that it should go away. Last week the lump increased to about the size of my thumb with a red, blistery-looking place in the middle. I took her in on Friday and they sqeezed the little "pus and blood pocket" and put her on antibiotics. She is perfectly fine and it doesn't seem to trouble her, but it was pretty worrisome to look at! She is learning how to sit and recognize her name-she is pretty smart, but I don't think anyone ever took any time with her at all. It's such a shame, but all to my benefit and definitely their loss! Her favorite trick is to take away anything Bianca or Jett lays down for two seconds and bring it to her bed.

Sounds like you and I had a bit of a worry with our babies. I am glad she is doing well now. So is Luca. Sounds like her training is coming along well also. Keep up the great work.

Glad to hear Pippy is okay, and that she is so happy in her new home.

I hope that the lump disappears quickly and I am glad that she found her way into your home
