shadow chaser
My son has a 9 month old cocker who as of late has taken to chasinng shadows . This may sound like something to ignore beings the pup is happy but this is something that goes on for hours at a time . I guess my question is : Is this anything to worry about or do you think he might grow out of it?

I think he is probably just being a puppy. Mine will chase the light from a flashlight. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

No he won't grow out of it, yes you will need to stop him, it will drive him crazy. not literally, but you know.
He actually thinks the shadows are real and are behind him, chasing him. Or in front to be chased. Last edited by erdog3; 10-24-2004 at 03:55 PM. Reason: or in front etc. |

DIstract him from it, give him a toy to play with or call him over to be petted or something. Eventually, he'll give up on the shadows.

i agree with lessica, you should call his/her name. mine likes chasing cars, which is scary. i'm worried b/c he is small and ppl can't see him, he is good though. not that that isn't the major prob. here. the real prob. is since he is tiny, i'm afraid of a hit -n- run
