Another update on pups!

One of the pups jumped out of the back of this guys truck and is now limping. He is going to nthe vet this afternoon. Why 15 week old puppies were in the back of the truck is beyond me. He now doesn't want to meet halfway as it "why should I spend $50 in gas when the pound will take them for free" I have a volunteer from another forum who will getr them halfway for me this Sat. but I have a wedding this Sat and I fear leaving them until next Sat. which I could then do and so could the volunteer that offered to help.

It turns out that the dog tore his ACL and the vet recommended a $1200 surgery and the guy is not doing it. When I told him I could get the pups Fri night and they would be in their homes Sat am(I had two definite homes) or I wouldn't get them until the following Sat.. He said next Sat because he didn't want to do the drive and now he had a pen for them so they would be outside in the pen and be fine. He also asked me if I could home his 1 year old who he now has to keep tied up outside because his neighbors kept complaing anout it. Well it has seemingly gotten harder to get the pups and now one has a major injury so I am not getting them. This is a bummer because I was going to keep one and had 2 definite homes for the others. The lady who volunteered her time is still going to try to get them as she is located up in MI anyway. Poor pups. I hope the ending is better than what it is right now.

While you're there - kick that guy in the butt.

I don't know how you could not lose your cool with someone like him.

You need to get those pups. I would hate to see them hurt worse. He obviously is a bad dog owner because of the things he did. I would call a humane society around there to maybe press charges and take all his dogs. I know you dont want the dogs in the pound but they could maybe get some medical help and attention. He obviously didnt try to hard to find them homes if you found two that would take them.
