De-worming for dogs

Hi!
I’m a huge animal lover and I was wondering if anyone could help me solve
my problem…
I have a dog who’s name is Elvis and a cat who’s name is Princess!
I’ve discovered that Elvis had worms, (is it possible that he got from other pets???)
so I want to my vet and he gave him a de-worming medication in a tablet form but he wouldn’t swallow it!!
I didn’t want to use too much force so I tried wrapping it with some sausage but he some how figured it out!
please help me!!
Tami

To give a dog a pill put it in their mouth in the back of the throat. Or as far back as you can. Hold the dogs mouth closed and rub from top to bottom along their throat till they swallow it.

I use p-nut butter, yogurt, raw hamburger or something they really love. Then give a couple small bites of just the food first. Then, kind of hold back on the bite with the pill in it, so they really want it. Then let them have it. Mine usually gulp it down.

Or do as SWC says. Make sure you don't scratch the inside of the mouth with your fingernail.

when i hav to worm rusta i just hid the pill in something he really loves (usually some left over roast beef or chicken, he cant resist!!) although with keisha i hav to get a worming paste as she will not swallow pills and the few times ive managed to get her to, she has been sick. the paste is alot easier to give too.

about five months ago my dog Angie suffered from worms.
my friend told me to buy a de-worming pill and mix it with some chicken but
Angie figured it out and only ate a quarter…
that happened a couple of times unlit two months ago I’ve found a solution in a form of dry food that my Angie really liked and I didn’t have to force her at all !!!
you should try it … <edited by BabyElephant to remove weblink> it's called Tasties Worm Out

If it is a tablet, you can get a pill crusher at your local pharmacy. Crush the pill into a powder, and mix it in with something very smelly such as wet food or tuna. Usually works like a charm.

I use Strongid-T Liquid. I get it from my vet.
We've never had worms but I used it for my moms and pups.
Must work since none ever had worms!
They love it!
