marrow bones
A friend of mine gave some marrow bones to her dogs. The dog sate the whole thing,in 2 hrs.Nothing was left, not even the bone. They were 2 basenjis.Should she worry about this or not?.I've never had a dog that ate it all. So,I wasn't of much help!!!.

How big were the bones?
She should monitor for 48 hours or so. As long as the dogs continue eating normally and pooping normally, it should be ok. Projectile vomiting is a sign that she should go to a vet as the bones might have caused a blockage. When Ariel ate a whole porkchop, I phoned the ER vet and they said NOT TO try to induce vomiting. Just to watch and see. |

The bones were about 2inch high for 3in large. The dogs are doing well apart from a bit of loose stool.
