Almost lost my boys

Both boys had allergic reactions to anesthesia. I should be able to bring them home tomorrow. I feel awful. Surgery was Monday. I can't stand not having them with me, atleast tehy are together tho. I'm sorry I just can't post anymore right now it's too hard to keep composed about it.

Whim, I'm so sorry to hear that. That is so bizzare. I would think that the chances of them both having reactions would be astronomical.

Try to calm down. They will be home soon.

Jorge was the worse, I assume because of his size.
I didn't ask alot of questions. I will, I just couldn't keep it together to talk much. They had them in side by side kennels but decided to let them be together-then Jorge did better. He finally walked to potty today.
Ozzy could have come home tonight but we all agreed he should stay with his boy. I've boiled chicken and rice for them. I have their blankets all ready in their bed they share. Pandy has been laying in the bed. Everyone is upset. Ugh i feel guilty because I chose to do this to them. My poor mother went today while I was working to be with them. they were in the same kennel Spike was in before he passed. The vet tech moved them into a room which she stayed in for over 2hrs with them. It was nice that they did that for her, I am sure it put them behind in appointments. I just think it is odd because they both had reactions and none of the other pups had any reactions. (Bella got a UTI after her spay but reaction to anesthia)
The tech will be calling later tonight with an update. They are very well cared for and loved there but it's not home.
Work was actually very supportive, they offered me the day off. Considering all that is happening there I was shocked, but stayed.
the vet said my dad called 3 times today. He is out of town, same trip he was on when Spike passed.
Thanks everyone.

I figure a sensitivity to a certain substance is hereditary, that being why they both experienced it when it is so uncommon.

Relax yourself. Everything will pop back into place for you soon enough.

HUGS Whiz.. I am so sorry.

Did you have the pre-screen done ?

Do not feel bad it is hardly your fault... you did what you thought was best and it is best for them. This stuff happens, it happens to people too. It happened to my Mom.

HUGS again.

I am almost positive she did. I hope the vet update is positive. Keeping fingers and toes crossed and holding my breath waiting to find out.
