Whitening Shampoo

Any Pro grommers or show people on here that have white dogs and need

to whiten their dogs???

I cannot get my shih-tzu who has long hair, white....he has a yellow tinge

to him...I use Hartz blue whitening shampoo for dogs, but I think that this

is just to cheap of a brand.


Does anybody have any tips even household products(that are non-toxic of

course: they use that can whiten there dogs to a really brite white?

btw, I would ditch the Hartz, not a great company.

Hartz is one of the worst pet manufacturers imo, I wouldn't support that type of company.

i like the groomers whitning shmapoo i use it on bit of my long cated lhasa back of legs and feet where he pees it also had everning primrose in so isnt so harsh on the coat as some r

Instructions for Use

Shake well before using to ensure that natural ingredients are in suspension. On a wet coat, lather your pet thoroughly with a few good palm-fulls of Earthbath® Totally Natural Pet Shampoo. For best results, leave on coat for several minutes to allow time for the optical enhancing minerals to work their wonders. Rinse off. Towel dry thoroughly with a big hug. For luxurious conditioning and detangling manageability, use in conjunction with Earthbath® Coat Detangler & Conditioner. May be diluted 25 parts water to 1 part shampoo if desired.




This gets he coat sparkling white. And we can use it as regualarly as we want because it doesn't dry out the coat.

I have a white Pom and I use Bio-groom's Super White. Also, a trick the breeder taught me was to sprinkle baby powder that has corn starch in it (they don't all have it) and work it into the fur. It absorbs yellowing oils from the fur. If you do it too often, the coat might get dry so I just use it once or twice a week.

Chris Christensen-they also have a waterless product (Show Off)that is good for spot baths like when your white dog runs through the freshly mown grass. Their grroming spray (Ice on Ice) is awesome. My groomer uses it now and she loves it for shih-tzus-it doesn't make the coat fell slick, over-conditioned or greasy.
