Once again I will show you some of the faces that I get to see every time I get to work. These are the ones I don't mind as much. The humans... I could definitely do without. lol.
This is
Toozi. Toozi was adopted out by us just before the Hallowe'en "cut off." (We do not adopt out black cats before Hallowe'en.) Toozi was pretty nervous and liked to stay where she was secure. When we took her out of her kennel to test her with the other cats, she jumped right back in, and curled up.
Maizie is a Himalayan mix, and was an owner surrender. She did not do well in the kennel environment at ALL, and we had a ton of temperament issues with her. She was very handlable upon entry, but later came to the point where we could not change her bowls without her swatting at us. A very brave lady who was looking for the perfect cat got along swimmingly, so it seemed, with Maizie while she was petting her, but Maizie got pretty angry when the lady stopped petting her. lol. Maizie was sent back to the SPCA with a cold, but has since been adopted out.
Timber was given up by her parents when they got a new puppy, and a new kitty, and were only allowed to have two animals on their premise. Poor Timber was sent packing. She has a permanent equilibrium problem, and has difficulty walking straight. We originally thought she had a weak joint, as she swaggered like she's had one too many drinks... She has been in the SPCA for over a month, and is still looking for a home. At 7 years, it is hard for her to find a forever home.
This is a crappy picture of a friend of mine,
Clyde. I actually liked Clyde a lot. I tend to enjoy the boy cats far more than the catty girl cats, especially the older boys. Clyde was found a stray, and estimated to be 8-10 years old. He was very skinny when he came to us, and he loved to sit in my drawer while I did paper work. Poor Clyde was with us for about a month, and was transferred back to the Burnaby SPCA, hoping to find a home. He is still waiting.
Four of the seven cats we recieved last Thursday have happily found forever homes for themselves. A strange guy, a large, orange, polydactyl, was the first to go home. He had 7 toes on each front paw, that is six extra toes in all, and slept with his eyes open. Funny Spitfire. We've got lots, I can remember all of the cats we've had... And all of three dogs. lol
That's all I've got for now.
