I need help

I thought first that this was a bite from his little brother, but now it is getting bigger. Now the hair has fallen leaving the bare skin in a spot about 2 square inches, the skin looks ok no open wound but redish, looks like rash in small part of the effected area

The only vet here is in vacation. My choices is to drive 300 km which is not bad, or take him to human doctor.

In the meantime anyone knows what this might be.

It could be some type of allergic reaction. Are those "crustys" around the main spot? How long has it been there? Whne is the vet due back?
Sorry I'm not better help.

I searched for skin crusting in dogs and came up with these:
Necrolytic dermatitis -
Skin crusting and ulcerative skin lesions (especially on the face, legs and feet) that occur due to underlying liver disease, pancreatic tumors and possibly diabetes is known as necrolytic dermatitis, hepatocutaneous syndrome and necrolytic migratory erythema.

Demodicosis-
Also known as Demodectic Mange, Red Mange, or Demodex Infestation, this is a common skin condition caused by tiny mites that inhabitat the hair follicles. A normal part of your dog's skin, Demodex Canis mites are typical inhabitants and on a healthy animal, will cause no issues. Problems arise when these mites multiply into numbers too large for the host animal, or poor health weakens the immune system into reacting to any and all irritants. Hair loss, pus-filled lesions, and crusting skin are the obvious signs. Diagnosis is made via skin scrapings to identify the mite, and treatments are needed for both the mite outbreak and any resulting infections of the skin. Generalized Demodicosis is often caused by an underlying condition that has hampered the immune system, and steps should be taken to properly diagnose and treat all illnesses contributing to this condition.

Sarcoptic Mange
Sarcoptic Mange, or Canine Scabies is a highly infectious infestation of Sarcoptes Scabiei var Canis, and is found throughout the world. While generally found on dogs only, these can be transmitted to humans, although it is fairly rare, but they can also be transmitted through human contact, where the human is not the host animal, merely an agent of transmission.
Signs of Sarcoptic Mange include hair loss, crusting of the skin, infected lesions, severe itching and self-inflicted injuries (bite wounds, scratch wounds). The most common infested areas of a dog are the chest, ears, abdomen, elbows and legs.

Allergies are also known causes

Here is what you can try to treat the area.

1) shave the area - make sure to get the hair out of the way. Wash well
2) Treat with a good antibiotice cream - rub in well.
3) Monitor for 2-3 days for improvement.

I thought Dax had an infected bite - it was just another hot spot (Cortisone is recomended treatement) If it grows larger than you will need to go to a vet. She did have an infected bug bite but there wasn't that level of crustiness around it.

Is the dog otherwise fit & healthy? That could rule out some of the mange issues.

I think I can see a localized red eruption. If you apply pressure does it weep more?

Now boo, why on earth would you come up with that theory? Why would a large skin rash appear only on the backs of males? Be logical!

Sidney gets spots on her that look just like that when she's been bitten by mosquitos or spiders. Vet says she's allergic. I use an anti itch/anitbacterial spray and keep it clean. It usually clears up in a few days. If it doesn't, I'd have a vet take a look. Good luck.

Sorry I was out for a while.

A nurse saw him, and gave me antibiotics, but he is not sure. He said if it does not improve I have to take him to the vet at the closest city.

To answer some of the questions
It is ocuuring at one spot only, but getting larger. I am also woried about the kids.
It stated 2 weeks ago, but was small and it looked like a small bite but no torn skin.
the dog can't be any healthier and any hapier

Many thanks, I will keep you posted, hopfully it will be treatable.

OK

The hair start growing in the infected spot after 2 days of applying antibiotics.
