UPDATED: Pixs added Jack's filling out already.

It has only been a week since I noticed how much weight Jack lost. He has been getting over double his normal food intake along with some oil supplements. He is looking good again to me. He is going to the vet tomorrow just to be weighed again. I didn't think that he would fill out so quickly. Now at the risk of him gaining too much weight, how should I moniter his food? He was doing beautifully on his normal ration for a long time. He had been getting the same amount of food for about 5 months. I don't want to drop him back to what he was getting but if I keep feeding him this way he is going to blow . I am thinking if I cut him back to 1.5 the amount he should be good. Right now they are being fed Diamond Premium. Too lazy to go look up the analysis and I am at work. I will let you know what he weighs in at on Friday. Better not have packed too many lbs on...

Not too photogenic today. Someone was not happy about having to hold a stand

Glad he's doing better. Yes, please do let us know how much he's gained. Another pic wouldn't hurt. We love pics!

What you can do is just to slowly cut back the feed, or he may find he gets too hungry and starts to look elsewhere for tucker.
He should weigh in at 31-32kg, not sure the conversion.
What he differs from in the bone structure in conformation labs, he makes up for in height. So he should still weigh in at the average. Give or take a couple of kilos.

Ask your vet when you visit, take the packet with you and get his guidance on what to feed. He will know what's best for your dog than any of us looking at pics.
Glad he has put on some weight though.

Sorry Leslie, I just re read that and It came out sounding terrible.
Me and my mouth lately, it sure is getting me in trouble.

I meant that from the last thread, and the to's and fro's of putting weight on the field and trial dogs, being that they should look skinny.
So what I meant was, none of us could judge his weight only the vet.

NOT that I don't want any more pics. Sorry again. I certainly didn't mean it they way it read.

No problem, Ellie! I understood what you meant and I agree with you.

It can be hard to read the "tone" of the written word at times but, I knew where you were coming from. So, don't worry, your mouth is just fine! Keep it talking. I love reading your posts and replies. You always have good info.

More Jack pictures.... PLEASE SIR CAN I HAVE SOME MORE? Greta since he's gained weight at double what if you cut back to 3/4 of that now. He weight increase should slow down. I think it's just a matter of hugging him more often to gauge the rib thingy.

Oh, if Jack would weigh between 31-32 kg he would be obese. He is a very small lab. His weight needs to stay under 60 lb which is about 27 lb. Kitty cats vet appointment is at 4:15 and Jack is coming with so it will be tomorrow.

Dax- Jack gets hugged all the time. He is was I call a t i t baby (sorry probably not appropiate) He has to be by mom, touching mom play with mom at all times. He is a little obsessive. But I sure feel loved.

I am having issues with my digital camera. Bad disc or something. I am working on it.

He does look a lot better than the last ones you posted. I know what you mean about the field trial breeding line - Poppy is from that line and the vet said she would probably end up weighing about 25kg.

He doesn't look very happy about having to "pose" today does he! Glad he is doing well.
