Unhappy

Hi everyone!

It's been awhile since I've been here... been working a lot lately these past couple of months. I have a question... I decided to post here since I can't get a hold of my normal vet this time of night... it's Kammie again.

When I left for work this afternoon at three she was doing fine but when I got off at 9:30 tonight my mom told me that she had thrown up 3 times between 8:30-9:30 and earlier during the day her stool was soft and now it was pure watery. Since 9:30 Kammie has thrown up like 6 or 7 more times... can't get her to drink or eat... I have taken some gatorade and made her drink it through a stopper but it just came back up a few minutes later. She hasn't used the bathroom since about 10
tonight and it is now 1:30 in the morning... she isn't really active though she is getting up and walking around and etc but just looks really tired and wants to lay around. The only thing I can think of was that earlier before I left she got into some cat food.... and ate it and then I fed her a Mint flavored rawhide stick that she's never had before... and then after that she was put in her cage since I had to leave.... so I'm not for sure what could of caused this.... she was fine when I left. So far no signs of blood but still trying to get a hold of my vet though... what do you all think could be wrong with her? I feel bad for her

I think she ate something that didn't go well with her system. Many dogs after eating something unfamiliar to them get diarrea and sometimes can bring it back up. Or maybe your dog ate something else, that you are not aware of, and it cannot be digested so he can't go to the bathroom and whatever else he ate after that has to come back up. I hope you can get your dog to a vet as quickly as possible. Being that it's a weekend, if you cannot get a hold of your vet, take it to an emergency animal hospital if these symptons persist. Best of luck!!

Mr. Pipples - did you have a bout with Parvo with this dog a while back?

If she is now taking water and holding down food, it might have just been one of those things.

Try to get a hold of a vet like Gypsy suggested even if just by phone.

Does she appear to have a temperature? You can guess with a high one, place your hand on your neck, get the feel of your warmth, now place your hand on her neck, it should feel slightly warmer than your own, not a great deal though, if it feels very hot then she is running a temp.
If she is hot she is sick, get vet asap.
If she is not hot I would go with the upset tum, but the parvo can still be around, so be carefull.
