how often do you vaccinate?

How often does everyone vaccinate their dogs with the 5 way, dhlpp?

How often with rabies?

and how often with kennel cough?

also, what other vaccines, if any, do you give and how often?

dhlpp is only going to be given when her yearly titers say she needs it (she has had her puppy shots). Probably will never give her bordetella, as she'll not be boarding in a kennel.

Rabies, however, will be given on the regular 3 year schedule. You can titer yearly and have a dog licensed, but if your dog bites someone the county won't consider titers valid proof of rabies protection. I very very much doubt that Riddle would ever bite someone, but with the breed she is there would be too much uproar already to add questionable rabies certificates into the mix.

DHPP has thus far been given annually. I think come this July when he is due for a boost, I'll do titres. The thing about that though, is many grooming/training places do not accept titres as sufficient proof of vaccination.

Rabies is every three years, by law, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Bordetella is annually. No way I would ever have him at the dog park, or an agility show without it. Training facilities also require it.

I do not do Corona, Lyme, etc.

A titre is a blood test to see if the body is still immune to certain viruses. It basically tests the concentration of dead virus in the body.

Oh, that's an easy answer for me: Never!

It simply is not to be had.

Our law requires rabies vaccines every year. They also get kennel cough (they get boarded at the vet's occasionally) and whatever else they need at the time.

How often does everyone vaccinate their dogs with the 5 way, dhlpp? never

How often with rabies? depends on the dog, but usually not at all, and never ever before 1 year.

and how often with kennel cough? never

also, what other vaccines, if any, do you give and how often? Parvo, at 16 weeks, thats it, ever.

How often does everyone vaccinate their dogs with the 5 way, dhlpp? I never give the lepto due to vaccine reaction. I titer for the others, I do not believe to booster just for the heck of it.

How often with rabies? I believe every three years, although I will titer for that also.

and how often with kennel cough? Normally I never do, but if I board or go on vacation with other dogs I will.

also, what other vaccines, if any, do you give and how often? None.
