The prize - bragging rights to be called PRODOG's Top Dog until the next war. The object is to get other members to vote for your dog using one picture, a caption and no more than 150 words describing the breed. You only have three days to post.

You will only be allowed one post per dog but you may edit it over the next three days. Voting to start Nov. 16, 2004

In three days time, the thread will be closed and voting will begin. There is one catch; you can not vote for your own dog.

The voting question will be: Based on the posts below what dog (breed) would you consider as your next dog.

My breed originates in Africa, and I am classified as non-sporting, but I beg to differ. I have one of the strongest frames of all small breeds. Contrary to my fluffy look, I am sturdy and muscular. I can jump high and far, and run with speed for long on short distances, I can even pull weights.

I came from a litter of 7 black and brown puppies, and I grew up to be a loyal, fearless, and quiet little person with fine, snow white fur.

I’m a Shetland Sheepdog but I’ve never seen a sheep, so I don’t really know what I would do with one!

My name is Harley. My Mom insists my middle name is Wayne, but since I can’t read to verify this information for myself, I’m somewhat skeptical. She only uses my whole name when I’m in trouble, so I hear it pretty often!

Once, I tried to sit on Dad’s lap while he was driving and I got in REALLY big trouble… I just wanted to help drive.

I love to play fetch, tug-of-war or anything with my little brother! Sometimes I bark at clouds for no reason other than to tell them I see them! I’m very loyal and would do anything to protect my people. I like to do tricks and sometimes I obey really well! I’m great with other animals and kids.

I am an English Springer Spaniel. My goal in life is to be a farm dog, with lots of room to run, cows to bark at and some horses to cuddle with. My favorite things in the whole world are kids, but I also like breakfast, mud, and running next to the quad. I am very gentle and loving, also very enthusiastic about life. I am quiet indoors but I have abundant energy to spend outdoors. I am a great companion and available for any cuddle time you could wish for. I’m a beagle - one of the most intelligent breeds known to man. I love people -especially little people (also known as children). I enjoy playing games and my training time...I never forget a lesson once I learn it. When I'm tired, I take long dreamy naps and my feet smell like popcorn when I wake up.
