Charlie and Jett went to the vet today. I had taken Jett before Christmas to have the doctor take another look at his leg (it had gotten hurt while he was lost the first week in November). The doctor said that he still couldn't feel that anything was broken, but Jett's paw movement was impinged in the downward direction and he thought that he might have been shot. So today he went in for an X-ray. There is nothing in there, foreign, that is, but the X-rays were kind of inconclusive. They said it appeared that he had either torn a ligament or fractured one or two of the tiniest carpals. Because it hurt he wasn't using it as much and now it has stiffened up. We'll be doing some PT with it, I guess. I'm glad he doesn't have to have a surgery, although the vet was kind of blase about it as far as if Jett will be back to normal or not. The vet techs were the ones who gave me the PT ideas, after I asked.
Charlie had his final heart worm injection today. He is feeling much better. I didn't realize how bad his appetite had been until he recently started to really eat! He will go in next Wednesday for a blood test, then if he's clear

he'll go on prevention (of course), then we can make the appointment to have him "snipped" as my husband so delicately puts it.
