Found this...Anyone interested?

I saw this on our local Craigslist.com & it broke my heart...thought I would share with the PDG family. Maybe she can find a forever home through the PDG forum.

Sweet small dog... great personality

I have a great dog that just needs a better loving home. She's a lhasa-poo, 7lbs, redish color and born blind. Although she's blind, she loves to play fetch and is actually quite good at it indoors. She does like to bark when new people come around. Not fully potty trained since she didn't like going outside when she was smaller, but with the right attention, she'll get it down. She loves to lay in your lap or at your feet. Jumps really high and into your arms if the timing is right.

It breaks my heart to do this but she needs more care than I have time to give her. I've contacted the pound, but since she's blind they think she's not adoptable and will put her to sleep. If you know anyone, maybe even and older person, that is looking for a companion, please get in touch.

She would be perfect for someone who works out of their home or a senior citizen that would have the time to be with her. I hope she finds a forever home.

That's what I was thinking!

I was on there, posting an ad for my approx. 10 yr. old adopted kitty we've had for 4 years that has all of a sudden decided she doesn't want to be around the kittens anymore & is very unhappy....long story...& I saw that ad & almost answered it myself but I work full time & got a full house already! I thought maybe she might have some luck with the folks here on PDG.

I hate it that the shelters think they have to put a pet down because they're blind, deaf, got three legs, whatever....& no one will want them. Some of the greatest pets I've ever seen have disabilities & do just fine! One of my favorite dogs when I was a kid had epilepsy & my mom managed her illness & she lived a great life! In fact, we starred in the school talent show together!

Actually my local shelter not too long ago had a young, blind puppy up for adoption. Thankfully some great person took him in. It's a real commitment when it comes to a very young dog.
