Fay's limping.

Faith is limping. Favoring one of her front feet. I think she must have twisted/sprained it jumping off the bed. She was fine, jumping up on the bed, running around the yard and being Faithey. I went out to my car to go up to the grocery store and Jake comes running out telling me that Fay is limping. That was about an hour ago.

Poor girl is just pouting on the bed now.

Sounds like she needs to stay off it as much as possible for awhile. Maybe even crate her when you can't watch her. Hope she's better soon.

This may a little different situation but my 7 month old, Dakkie was running around the house and must have stepped on something as suddenly he was running around with his right hind leg kept elevated. I suspected a cut or some such thing but could nothing. Still, for the next couple of days he was the amazing 3 legged dog. He showed no signs of feeling pain when I gently palpated the paw and the leg, so I decided to keep a close watch.

2 days later he was good as new. I know how it is to worry when your dog shows some signs of discomfort. I agree with the others...crate her if you can and try to keep her as quiet as possible.

Have you noticed any heat or swelling?? If it were a sprain, it should be quite evident.

Good luck and Best Wishes.
