Excited for 2007

Happy New Year to all members of the forum who remember me with my sorrow at losing my precious Fireking.

Well tomorrow I am about to collect a thirteen week GSD male who is also black and tan that Fireking was and am hoping that he is exactly what I am looking for.

I know that a new puppy will bring joy and happiness into our house but I am hoping that he does not look too much like Fireking as the spooky thing is that I contacted these people before Christmas and they were going back to the UK and were planning to be away until next week,. But they contacted me today and asked if I still wanted him and I have said YES but the new puppy dog has the same birth day as Fireking had 1st October.

So I am assuming that this is the right dog for us and hope that I shall fall in love with him tomorrow as I did when I first set eyes on Fireking, but I am also hoping that he is not a replica if you understand what I mean.

I shall let you know how I get on tomorrow

Hi SalemWC I just somehow knew that you would be the first to respond. I have no idea why. Do you personally find it strange that this new puppy would have the same birth date as Fireking?

No . I don't find it strange at all. I believe there is a reason for everything.

Thanks SalemWC and Bosley. I have so many mixed emotions at the moment that I doubt very much whether I shall sleep tonight. I am excited that the new puppy is everything that we have been waiting for, and he has been checked over by our regular vet so all should be OK, and the owners are local, but I am also a little bit concerned about the same birth date bein the same as Fireking that I just hope he does not look exactly the same as that would probably freak me out

I am so very happy for you Frankie. Fireking will always be in a place in your heart.....you won't forget him. Your heart is big enough for another. Not to take Firekings place, but to start a new place in a different time.

Each pup will be different. Even if on the surface this pup resembles Fireking he will have a whole other personality. Consider the birthdate a sign from Fireking. He would want you to be happy.

Thanks all. That sort of spooked me a bit when I heard the birth date but then I also considered it that it was a sign from Fireking that the time is now right. I am going to sign out now as want to try and get the house prepared for a new lovely puppy dog, and also want to get a new camera so I can download on the site another avatar, but that might take a while as it seems still to me to be Fireking's place on this forum.
But if it is meant to be then it will be and I shall let you all know manana what the outcome is.
